SF MOMA

Designed by Aidlin Darling Design of San Francisco, and winner of the 2018 James Beard Award, for Best of the Year – Casual Dining. In Situ is on the ground floor of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The menu features recipes from recognized chefs and restaurants from all continents.

All tables were fabricated from reclaimed lumber harvested from the local urban forest. Dining tables are solid ash and bar tables are cottonwood. The bar tables are assembled wood shards: an idea inspired by breaking river ice. The large table is 24 feet and in one piece. The large ash communal dining table is also one piece. All wood materials were provided by Evan Shively of Aborica, Marshall, CA.
