Interior Design Magazine: “2018: Best of Year Winner” Defined by geometry, natural light and monumental dimensions, the interior space at nVidia HQ (designed by Gensler) is welcoming as well as functional. Northwood Design Partners was tasked with manufacturing all conference, communal, library, and dining tables.
The majority of communal work tables are unusually large, consisting of 2 3/4″ solid plank. Most of the tables are made of reclaimed urban forest materials, some of which were harvested from the existing site. Solid plank materials include pecan, ash, white oak, claro walnut, and black walnut. The 302″ claro walnut communal table is located next to a mezzanine bar and food service area. It is 3″ thick and is two pieces that are end matched to maintain grain and pattern continuity. It is one of many focal points within an extraordinary facility.
